The quiet location made the stay restful and cozy. Lounges, bars and pools on site doesn't provide the necessary rest that I needed. We appreciate the hot breakfast as well as the coffee in the lobby.

Absolutely nothing. I was ripped off by the host. I booked the house and informed the host about arriving between midnight and 1am. The host sent me a faulty link that wouldn’t give me any check in information. One I tried contacting the host upon arrival I called over 20 times with no answer, emailed and texted and didn’t receive a response. So I had to spend double the money and go get hotel rooms.

Awesome house in a great private location! This home was great for our large family to get together and have fun together with lots of space! It’s also in a prime location in New River Gorge National Park close to all the outdoor adventures it has to offer. Our family will for sure be back!

It’s beautiful. We lucked out, the West Virginian looked to be the most secluded small cabin, so we had plenty of privacy. A lot of amenities were available and were very thoughtful!

The Hawks Nest Lodge offered excellent value and access to great hiking and water sports, but if you don’t like outdoor activities, you will run out of things to do fast. The restaurant in the lodge offered great views and affordabe and pretty decent meals. Prepare to drive to Fayetteville for alternate restaurants. The Cathedral Cafe is a great spot for lunch. For driving enthusiasts, the roads are a sports car challenge; a bit white knuckle driving for others.
